Manuscript Monday: Romancing Mister Bridgerton

On this weeks Manuscript Monday Sarah recommends Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn.

I am ready for May 16th! This book is going to be clearly different than the series with one of the only similarities being Penelope is Lady Whistledown. But I still can’t wait for the series! As for the book, it was exactly what I expected. It’s written like the other two I've read. It’s enjoyable and steamy. I read the "Duke and I" because my library app suggested it and I heard Shonda Rhimes made it into a Netflix series. I had just read her book "The Year of Yes" and fell in love with her. I honestly love the series more then the books and I think the Queen Charlotte spin off is my favourite.

As for this book, I liked how Penelope came out of her shell in this book and her newfound friendship with Lady Danbury, hopefully that happens in the series too. You don’t need to read it to enjoy the series, but it does definitely get you more excited about seeing it, even though I think it will be drastically different from what I’ve seen from the Season 3 trailer. I guess we will just have to wait and see!
