On this weeks Manuscript Monday Sarah recommends Psyche and Eros by Luna McNamara.

I absolutely loved every minute of this book. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been using a mystic tarot deck for the last 20 yrs, but all the Greek myths in it are familiar to me so it was a joy every time a new God or Goddess was introduced. Psyche and Eros’s story is one of my favourite and this adaptation was brilliant being in both their voices. If you don't know their story, Eros is a God and Psyche a mortal women. They fell in love but the rule was that she couldn't see him so they only met in the dark every night. If the rule was broken she would never be with him again. I won't share more if you don't know, its a good one about true, pure, imperfect love.
It's a great myth all on its own and this book does it justice I think. It's one of those books that you’re disappointed it’s over, although it did have a satisfying ending.

This article raises important perspectives on the influence of thoughts, imagination, and spiritual direction within Christian life. While the topic of “sexual bondage” is complex and sensitive, I believe self-awareness and honest communication are essential, both spiritually and emotionally. For those curious about understanding themselves and their boundaries in a safe, nonjudgmental space, tools like the BDSM Test can offer insights into personal preferences, helping individuals reflect, grow, and make informed choices consistent with their values. Self-knowledge is a crucial step on the journey to true freedom and balance.
