When I was 17, I fell in love with a boy in my class. He was silly, like me, and we were madly in love for about 6 months, though it seemed longer. We started dating in spring, and over the summer we spent almost every waking hour together. Sadly, we grew apart suddenly. One day, he put me down to impress some other kids at school. When I wanted to talk about it later, he was dismissive and unapologetic. Heartbroken, I broke it off.
