On this weeks Manuscript Monday Kim recommends "The Monster at the End of This Book" by Jon Stone (Sesame Street)
This book is a children’s book and (unlike Holes) is pretty much for only children. However, I chose to include it on this list because I always remember this book and reading it with my parents as a young child. It’s a good one, so if you have a little one I recommend seeking this gem out. You won’t regret it. Brief synopsis: Grover (the Muppet) sees that the book is called The Monster at the End of This Book and spends the rest of the book trying to get you (the reader) not to turn the page, which inevitably will bring you closer to the monster at the end. It’s got a clever finish and as a child I loved it.
